Summer cocktails at Drings

Fruity beauties are awaiting you this summer at the bar Drings at the Ring, Vienna’s Casual Luxury Hotel. Chief bartender Markus Brunner and his team have made use of the winter months and created exciting new recipes for delicious summer cocktails. This summer, each month is being dedicated to a different fruit as the basis for seven new cocktails. Matching the fresh, green spring time, limes will break the first ground in May. Cocktails like the ‘Basil Honey Daquiri’ (honey, rum, fresh basil, and fresh lime juice) or ‘Bajan Passion’ (fresh passion fruit, rum, apricot brandy, fresh lime juice, and homemade vanilla syrup) will sweeten the lime-month and the start into summer. A popular place to enjoy them is the comfortable outdoor seating area – Schanigarten - in front of the bar. And in case it gets a bit chilly at tall hours the Drings team is happy to provide you with a cozy blanket.

The hotel "gardens" have opened

From March until October the so-called "Schanigarten-tradition" plays an essential role in everyday life in Vienna. This year, two brand new "gardens" in front of The Ring, Vienna’s Casual Luxury, invite their guests to unwind in the afternoon hours and into the evening in a trendy and chic atmosphere.

New chef de cuisine at the "at eight" restaurant: Daniel Kraft

The name says it all in the case of the new chef at the "at eight" restaurant in The Ring Hotel. Twenty-three-year-old Daniel Kraft, whose last name means "power", is the youngest head cook in the history of the two-toque restaurant. He is in charge of eight employees, breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the restaurant, room service, and food service in the bar at what may well be the hippest hotel in the city.
